Welcome to my site!
I’m Connie Dinatale, known on Instagram as @lafocacciaqueen. I’m a self-taught Italian home chef with a deep love for cooking and sharing my traditional family recipes that have been passed down through generations. My kitchen is the heart of my home—a place where memories, stories, and flavours come together. Each dish has it’s own story, I celebrate the beauty of Italian home cooking and invite others to experience the warmth and joy that comes from a simple meal made with love.
For me, food is more than just something we eat—it’s a way to honour my heritage/culture and keep my family’s traditions alive. Every recipe I share carries a piece of my past: my mother in-law’s focaccia dough, my Nonna’s Sunday sauce, the laughter that filled our table. Cooking connects me to my roots, and I love sharing not only the dishes themselves but also the stories, values, and culture that make them so meaningful.
My greatest hope is to inspire the next generation to keep these traditions going—to cook with passion, to remember our roots and where we came from, and to never forget the sacrifices our parents and grandparents made for us. Through @lafocacciaqueen, I celebrate not just Italian food, but the love, pride, and resilience that defines who we are as Italians.
